Light Commercial Trucks Requirements

To be eligible to become a driver, you don’t need a commercial driver's license. All the trucks used by hauling companies are light trucks, similar in weight to a car. To be eligible, you must meet these criteria:

  • Drivers must be above 18 years of age.
  • Pass an extensive background check.
  • Possess a valid class c (ordinary) driver’s license.

How It Works

Drivebudi is a platform where individuals can connect with drivers fast. In areas where Drivebudi is available, you can use the Drivebudi app to request a driver. When a nearby driver accepts your request, the app displays an estimated time of arrival for the driver heading to your pickup location. The app will notify you when the driver is about to arrive. The Drivebudi app also provides info about the driver that will drive your rented truck, including first name, vehicle type, and license plate number.



Use the app to enter your item pickup location and preferred destination. The app will calculate the cost from your item location to your destination. When you arrive at your destination, you, the passenger, will offload the truck, and the time it took to offload is already added to your cost from the starting price. Payment is completed when the driver returns the truck back to the hauling company refueled. An extra charge will be added if there is a delay in offloading the truck. We advise our customers to get a truck reservation before using our app.

The driver will meet the customer at the item location, the driver and the customer will go to the nearest hauling company that the customer reserved a truck. Pickup of the truck, the cost of going to the Hauling company, is included in the starting price depending on the size of the truck.

The first step is to download the app and register your account. Enter all the necessary information to set up your account.

The renter is matched with a driver

The renter is matched with the nearest driver. The driver closest to the location of the renter will be sent to the location.

The Renter and the driver goes to the hauling company

Both the renter and the driver will go to the nearest hauling company where the renter has a truck reservation to pick up the truck.

The driver drives the truck to the destination

The driver will pick up the truck after submitting a valid license to the hauling company and drive the truck to the pickup location.

The driver returns the truck refuelled

At the pickup location, the renter will load the truck, and the driver will drive the truck to the destination. At the destination, the renter will offload the truck, and the driver is tasked with refueling the truck and returning the truck to the hauling company.

Hauling companies use different sizes of light commercial trucks that can be driven by anyone without CDL or training because they're similar to an everyday vehicle seen on the road. We offer affordable prices to our customers depending on the size of the truck. The starting price covers all the basic costs depending on the size of the truck. The prices shown are the starting prices plus the mileage to determine the actual cost

  • Can I pay in cash?

    Yes, you can. Ride fare and distance will be calculated automatically, and renters can pay for their ride through e-wallet, cash, or any other payment method as per their convenience.

  • The Drivebudi app automatically sets the language based on the language settings of your device, so in order to change the language of the application; you should change the language settings of your smartphone.

  • Yes, depending on the size of the truck selected. The fixed charges cover the basic fees, refueling costs, etc.

  • Yes, with this interesting feature of our Drivebudi app, a user can schedule the ride as he/she wants, which the driver can then be notified about by initiating a request.

  • In order to travel to multiple addresses, enter only the first of the addresses in the order. The driver enters your additional addresses. He will continue the route in accordance with the addresses entered.
